"Mr and Mrs Clark Foster's little son Maurice died Sunday after a ten day's illness, aged one year and fifteen days. The cause of death was broncho-pneumonia. Funeral services were conducted at the residence Tuesday afternoon by Rev M B Osmond of the Methodist Episcopal church and the remains were interred in Oak Creek cemetery. The sorrowing parents have the sympathy of all in the loss of their only child."

GOODING - Betty F. Muscat, 61, of Gooding, died Friday, Aug. 7, 1987, in St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise after a lingering illness.
Born June 8, 1926, in Ayr, N.D., she moved with her family to Minot, N.D. in 1927. While in school in Minot, she was a member of the State Women's softball team. She attended Minot State University and later North Dakota State University, majoring in economics and dietetics. She was a member of the North Dakota state basketball team while in college, graduating in 1948. She taught school in Ely, Minn., and Vallejo and Santa Maria, Calif. She married James Muscat Aug. 1, 1954, in Minot. They moved to St. Maries, where they both taught school. In 1961, they moved to Juliaetta where they also taught, then taught in the Hendrick school system. In 1970, they moved to Gooding, where she taught until 1982, when ill health forced her retirement
She was a member of the Gooding United Methodist church, chapter R-PEO in Minot, the Idaho Education Association and the Eastern Star.
Surviving are: her husband of Gooding; a daughter, Sally Jo Toone of Gooding; a son, Clark Muscat of Buhl; a sister, Marjorie Strong of Minot; and a grandson. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
The service will be held Tuesday at 10 a. m. in the Gooding United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David White officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at Demaray's Gooding Chapel Monday from 1 to 7 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the Gooding United Methodist Church."

GOODING - James V. Muscat, 65, a Gooding resident, died Sunday, June 16, 1991, at the Gooding County Memorial Hospital.
James was born May 28, 1926, in Lewiston, Idaho, the son of Vincent and Minnie Versaci Muscat. He attended school in Lewiston, graduating from Lewiston High School in 1944. He later attended Lewis and Clark Normal School on an athletic scholarship, and earned a degree in education in 1948. He taught and worked in Kamiah, Idaho, from 1948 until 1952. He then served with the U.S. Army in California.
He married Betty Foster in August of 1954, and moved to St. Maries, Idaho. He taught and coached there while he attended the University of Idaho, and in 1957, earned his masters of education degree. He then moved to the Kendrick schools where he coached and served as principal/superintendent. In 1970 they moved to Gooding where he served as principal/superintendent until 1977. He later owned and operated the Sears Catalog Store until 1980. He then returned to teach at Bliss High School, retiring in 1983.
He was currently serving on the Gooding City Council and was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church. He was a member of Gooding Elks Lodge No. 1745 B.P.O.E., the Perry Byram Post No. 30 of the American Legion and was also a member of the Gooding Country Club. In his retirement, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing and was also an avid camper.
Survivors include a son, Clark J. Muscat of Buhl; a daughter, Sally J. Toone of Gooding; two grandchildren; six sisters, Katie Giandinelli of Asotin, Washington, Rose Cassetto of Lewiston, Idaho, Irene Keller of Bellevue, Washington, Mary Belveal of Twin Falls, Mag Molesworth of Buhl and Fran Hilding of Sacramento, California. James was engaged to be married to Janet Wilhelm on June 26, 1991. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty and three brothers.
A Scripture Vigil Service will held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Gooding. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, with Father Timothy Ritchey officiating. Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding. Friends may call at Demaray's Gooding Chapel on Wednesday from 1 to 6 p.m. Memorials may be sent to the Gooding County Memorial Hospital or to the Elk's Rehabilitation Center in Boise."
