"Fyneral services have been held for Frederick Fraser Cameron, 86, a veteran of the First Word War and resident of Rocky Raptds.
Born in Gladstone, Man., he saw action in France during the First Word War, leaving the service in 1918.
He was discharged at Lloydmnster and married the formwe Florence May Davidson in that year.
The couple later moved to Stony Palin, then to Rocky Rapids, where he lived until his death.
Predeceased by his wife in 1968, Mr Cameron is survived by eitght sons, William of Ottawa, David, Donald and Joseph all of Drayton Valley, Arthur of Gunn, George pf Cremona, Howard of Manning and Eddy of Rocky Rapids; three daughters, Florence of Drayton valley, Kathleen of Carvel and Margarte of Red Deer.
He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gorodn of Edmonton and Alex of Chicago; and a sister Mrs Georgina Reynolds of Denver...."

In New York's famous Little Church Around the Corner, Lieut. (j.g.) Noel Hodgson Wallen, USNR, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Wallen, 1526 Chandler st., claimed as his bride Miss Dorothy Grace Cameron, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Alex S. Cameron of Park Ridge, Ill., Aug. 5 at 8 p. m. The Rev. Randolph Ray performed the double ring ceremony by candlelight.
Miss Cameron, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a princess gown of heavy white faille with a sweetheart neckline, long sleeves, and a sweeping court train. Her veil was caught to a juliet cap of tulle and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white orchids and bouvardia.
Mrs. Marjorie Yelvington of New York, a former schoolmate of the bride, was the matron of honor. She wore a pale blue taffeta gown and carried an arm bouquet of yellow daisies. Her headdress was of daisies to match her bouquet.
Lieut. Melvin Bustard, USNR, was the best man. The guests were ushered to their places by the bride's brother Alex "Bud" Cameron, Jr.
Both Mrs. Cameron and Mrs. Wallen were in simple black ensembles, with accessories to match. and corsages of gardenias.
A reception was held at the Pennsylvania hotel after the ceremony. Among the guests, in addition to the parents of the bride and bridegroom, were the captain of Lieut. Wallen's ship, Lieut. Comdr. A. B. Wilbor, USN, Mrs. Wilbor, and Lieut. Wallen's fellow officers.
Lieut. and Mrs. Wallen spent their honeymoon in Philadelphia, Pa. The bride wore for her going-away outfit a grey and yellow print dress with yellow accessories.
The bride who will make her home in New York temporarily, is a graduate of the University of Illinois and a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. Lieut. Wallen was graduated from the University of Wisconsin, where he was very active in the Wisconsin Players. He has served with the navy since July, 1942, and has seen 18 months of overseas service. He took part in the Normandy invasion and recently rejoined his ship after attending a school for active officers in New York and Philadelphia. Before entering service, he was employed by the Wisconsin Power and Light Co."

"Mr and Mrs Clark Foster's little son Maurice died Sunday after a ten day's illness, aged one year and fifteen days. The cause of death was broncho-pneumonia. Funeral services were conducted at the residence Tuesday afternoon by Rev M B Osmond of the Methodist Episcopal church and the remains were interred in Oak Creek cemetery. The sorrowing parents have the sympathy of all in the loss of their only child."

GOODING - Betty F. Muscat, 61, of Gooding, died Friday, Aug. 7, 1987, in St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise after a lingering illness.
Born June 8, 1926, in Ayr, N.D., she moved with her family to Minot, N.D. in 1927. While in school in Minot, she was a member of the State Women's softball team. She attended Minot State University and later North Dakota State University, majoring in economics and dietetics. She was a member of the North Dakota state basketball team while in college, graduating in 1948. She taught school in Ely, Minn., and Vallejo and Santa Maria, Calif. She married James Muscat Aug. 1, 1954, in Minot. They moved to St. Maries, where they both taught school. In 1961, they moved to Juliaetta where they also taught, then taught in the Hendrick school system. In 1970, they moved to Gooding, where she taught until 1982, when ill health forced her retirement
She was a member of the Gooding United Methodist church, chapter R-PEO in Minot, the Idaho Education Association and the Eastern Star.
Surviving are: her husband of Gooding; a daughter, Sally Jo Toone of Gooding; a son, Clark Muscat of Buhl; a sister, Marjorie Strong of Minot; and a grandson. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
The service will be held Tuesday at 10 a. m. in the Gooding United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David White officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at Demaray's Gooding Chapel Monday from 1 to 7 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the Gooding United Methodist Church."

GOODING - James V. Muscat, 65, a Gooding resident, died Sunday, June 16, 1991, at the Gooding County Memorial Hospital.
James was born May 28, 1926, in Lewiston, Idaho, the son of Vincent and Minnie Versaci Muscat. He attended school in Lewiston, graduating from Lewiston High School in 1944. He later attended Lewis and Clark Normal School on an athletic scholarship, and earned a degree in education in 1948. He taught and worked in Kamiah, Idaho, from 1948 until 1952. He then served with the U.S. Army in California.
He married Betty Foster in August of 1954, and moved to St. Maries, Idaho. He taught and coached there while he attended the University of Idaho, and in 1957, earned his masters of education degree. He then moved to the Kendrick schools where he coached and served as principal/superintendent. In 1970 they moved to Gooding where he served as principal/superintendent until 1977. He later owned and operated the Sears Catalog Store until 1980. He then returned to teach at Bliss High School, retiring in 1983.
He was currently serving on the Gooding City Council and was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church. He was a member of Gooding Elks Lodge No. 1745 B.P.O.E., the Perry Byram Post No. 30 of the American Legion and was also a member of the Gooding Country Club. In his retirement, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing and was also an avid camper.
Survivors include a son, Clark J. Muscat of Buhl; a daughter, Sally J. Toone of Gooding; two grandchildren; six sisters, Katie Giandinelli of Asotin, Washington, Rose Cassetto of Lewiston, Idaho, Irene Keller of Bellevue, Washington, Mary Belveal of Twin Falls, Mag Molesworth of Buhl and Fran Hilding of Sacramento, California. James was engaged to be married to Janet Wilhelm on June 26, 1991. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty and three brothers.
A Scripture Vigil Service will held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Gooding. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, with Father Timothy Ritchey officiating. Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding. Friends may call at Demaray's Gooding Chapel on Wednesday from 1 to 6 p.m. Memorials may be sent to the Gooding County Memorial Hospital or to the Elk's Rehabilitation Center in Boise."

Spring flowers, Easter lilies and palms were used in the decoration of the Church of Our Lord for the wedding last night at 8 o'clock, of Josephine Bernice, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Stewart, 551 Niagara Street, and Mr. Albert Edward Cameron, D.C., eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Edward Cameron, 1219 Pandora Avenue. Rev. A. de B, Owen officiated.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was pretty in a gown of ivory georgette, ornamented with crystal beads and diamante. Her embroidered net veil was held in place with a circlet of rhinestones and a cluster of orange blossoms at one side. She carried a shower bouquet of Ophelia roses, white carnations and lily of the valley.
Miss Viola Stewart, sister bride, and Miss Dallas Cameron, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids, in frocks of peach georgette, trimmed with silver lace. Each wore a bandeau of gold and silver leaves in her hair, and their bouquets were of blue forget-me-nots, laddle carnations and Ophelia roses.
Little Virginia Goodman and Muriel Bourne were the dainty flower-girls in mauve crepe de Chine frocks trimmed with rosebuds, and rosebud wreaths in their hair. They carried baskets of, rosebuds, freesias and forget-me-nots. Mr. Murray Cameron supported brother, the bridegroom, and the ushers were Messrs. Eldon Knott and Jack Horne. During the signing of the register Mrs. Arthur Dowell sang "For You Alone."
At the reception at the home of the bride's parents, Niagara Street, the bride and groom stood beneath a wedding bell of narcissi and fern, and were assisted in receiving their friends by Mrs. Stewart, wearing a gown of black georgette and satin with a black hat, and Mrs. Cameron, who was attired in a gown of black lace and georgette and hat en suite. The reception rooms were arranged with mauve and pink tulips, and the supper table was attractively decorated with mauve tulle, a four-tier wedding cake holding the place of honor.
The bride and groom left on the midnight boat for Vancouver, Seattle and Portland, and will return to Victoria before leaving to take up residence at Cameron, Manitoba. For traveling the bride wore a two-tone frock of French blue flat crepe, with a navy Potret coat trimmed with mole- skin, and a model hat of French blue felt combined with crocheted straw. Among the many handsome wedding gifts was a silver flower basket from the bride's associates of the credit office of David Spencer Limited. Out- of-town guests at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Keifer, of Tacoma, and Miss Elsie Kirkham and Miss May Tombs, of Duncan."
