"Arthur Graham Hopkins, Jr., age 82, a resident of the Sarah A. Reed Retirement Center, and formerly of Millcreek, died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Saint Vincent Health Center. Born in Mentor, Ohio on November 4, 1927, he was the son of the late Arthur Graham and Lucy E. (Hart) Hopkins Sr. He attended Cleveland Heights High School and several military schools. From 1945 until his discharge in 1963, he served with the U.S. Army. His last assignment was with the 342 MID, attached to the 49th Armored Division. Before his retirement in 1989, he was a train master for Conrail Corp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Phyllis L. (Hochhrein) Hopkins in 1997, and an infant son, Artie Hopkins. Survivors include two sons, Christopher M. Hopkins and his wife Janet of Erie, Timothy G. Hopkins and his wife Cindy Read of Grosse Point, Michigan, One daughter; Rebecca L. Black and her husband Jeb of Olmstead Falls, Ohio. Two grandchildren; Emily and James Black of Olmstead Falls, former daughter-in-law Renee and a cousin Joyce Hughes of Bulls Gap, Tennessee."

"Donald Osborn Glendenning, service director of Bay Village, died suddenly last night in his home, 603 Bassett Road, Bay Village, following a heart attack. He had been service director for the last three years. Formerly, for nearly two years, he had been in the village engineer's office. For 15 years previously he was in the traffic office in Cleveland of a Trucking Co. Mr. Glendenning was born 52 years ago in Elyria, O. He was the son of Amos and Luella Osborn Glendenning. His mother was a member of a Bay Village family dating back to the second decade of the 1800s. His family later moved to Bay Village. Mr. Glendenning attended West High School in Cleveland. Surviving him, besides his wife,are a son, Donald W., and a brother, A. Robert Glendenning of Westlake.Services will be at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday in the Pease funeral home, 2914Dover Center Road, Westlake. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,Westlake."2Gravestone.
