Arch A. Glendinning of Route 1, Aubrey, died unexpectedly in Fort Worth Thursday. He was 63.
Mr. Glendinning was born in Hutto and was employed in the construction business. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bonham.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home. The Rex. Don Youngblood of Electra will officiate. Burial will be in Little Elm Cemetery.
He is survived by one son. Edward G. Glendinning of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. Bill Farqua Hall of Beaumont; five brothers, W. A. Glendinning of Lewisville, Robert J. Glendinning of Gilmore, David G. Glendinning of McAlister, Okla., A, C. Glendinning of Aubrey and A. P. Glendinning of Aubrey."

During her lifetime, she was employed by the United States Diplomatic Corps at The Hague, Netherlands; London, England; Bonn, Germany; Ankara, Turkey; Helsinki, Finland; Kabul, Afghanistan; Bremen, Germany; Naples, Italy; and Santiago, Chile. After her retirement, she was active in the Santa Ana Women's Club and the Santa Ana chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by two brothers, Dr. A. T.("Pat") Pagter, of Rutherfordton, N.C., and The Honorable Ralph G. Pagter, of Lake Forest, California, two grandnephews, two grandnieces and eight great-grandnephews and nieces."

Mr. Glendinning died Monday in a Gilmer hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born May 8, 1903, in Williamson County. He was a retired foreman from Lone Star Steel and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gilmer, Bethesda Lodge No. 142, Scottish Rite and Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie; son, Robert J. of Gilmer; and two granddaughters."

Mrs. Glendinning died July 22 in a Longview hospital.
She was born Nov. 22, 1916, in Upshur County to the late Lawrence and Amanda Penick, and lived in Upshur County most of her life. She retired as district manager from Field Enterprises, was a member of First Baptist Church of Gilmer and Eastern Star for more than 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Glendinning in 1988; brother, J.C. Penick; and sister, Bessie Porter.
Survivors include son, Robert J. Glendinning, Gilmer; brother, Lawrence Penick Jr., Glenwood; sister, Betty Nealy, Longview; two granddaughters; and seven greatgrandchildren.
Members of Bethesda Lodge No. 142 will serve as pallbearers.
Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home."

He is survived by his wife, Judy Glendinning of Gilmer; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Danny Spencer of Gilmer; Paige and Kirk Williams of Gilmer; 7 grandchildren, Caroline Spencer, Madison Spencer, Elizabeth Spencer, Jake Williams, Justin Williams, Alexa Williams and Clayton Williams.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer."

Funeral services for A. C. Glendinning, a resident of Green Valley, will be held today at 4 p.m. at the First Methodist Church in Denton. The Rev. Don Youngblood of Electra and the Rev. Martin Thomas of Denton will officiate.
Mr. Glendinning was pronounced dead on arrival at Flow Memorial Hospital Friday after suffering a heart attack.
A resident of Denton County for 33 years, he was born in Texas March 4, 1909. He married Rose Hansel in Tishomingo, Okla., Oct. 18, 1931. He was a member of the Green Valley Methodist Church, and the Knights of Pythias Lodge.
He was self-employed in the construction business although he was formerly with Ray Dickson Motor Co.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. John Lindsey, of Jacksboro and Karen Glendinning of Green Valley; four brothers, Dave Glendinning of McAlister. Okla., Aldred Glendinning of Lewisville; one sister, Mrs. T. D. Hall of Beaumont: and two grandchildren.
