"Kenneth M. McVettie, age 83, of Riley Township, died unexpectedly Sunday morning December 1, 2013 at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. He had been in a hospital for 2 weeks. Ken is the son of the late Kenneth and Eva (Lumm) McVettie and was born in Flint November 25, 1930.

Kenneth was united in marriage with Miss Ruth Woodbury on June 10, 1950 in Detroit.

Ken retired in 1993 from Great Lakes Environmental Services in Warren and worked in the trucking industry 65 years.

Those left to mourn Ken's passing are:

…brother and sister-in-law,
……James R. and Phyllis McVettie of Warren.

Visitation for family and friends of Kenneth will be at the held on Thursday, December 5, 2013, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond.

Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2013, with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Fr. Joe Horn, pastor of Holy Family parish, Memphis, will officiate.

Burial will be White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.

Memorials are suggested to "Wishes of the Family"."
