3740. Thomas James Elliot ARMSTRONG

"T James Armstrong, 49, of 336 Broadway Ave., Vickers Heights, died Friday morning at Grea Lakes Paper Co., Camp 601 near Upsala following a heart seizure.
Born at Agincourt, Ont. son of the late Mr and Mrs Walter Armstrong he received his education there and following that enlisted in the Canadian Army in Toronto in 1939.
Mr Armstrong served overseas with the 48th Highlanders and was discharged in 1945.
In 1950 he moved to Fort William and was employed with the Abitibi Paper for 14 years as machine operator in the woodlands department.
For the last two years he worked for the Great Lakes Paper Co. at Camp 601.
Mr Armstrong was married to the former Miss Patricia McKinnon in Port Arthur April 16, 1952. He was an adherent of the Jehovah's Witnesses congregation. Survivors include his widow; two daughters Margaret Ann and Betty Ann; four sons, Kenneth, Thomas, Robert and Ronald, all at home; sisters (Moss Mary Armstrong) en route, Hazel (Mrs Elmer Cannong) both of Toronto; Jean (Mrs Les Middlebrook) of Brampton; Florence (Mrs William Brown) of Woodville, Ont."
