"ABBOTT Phoebe Margaret (Bowden), departed "on wings of song" from Victoria, B.C. on June 5th 2003 in her 87th year. Beloved husband Douglas of 61 years and daughter Vivienne by her side, son Norman and daughter Jocelyn on the phone. She also leaves to mourn her son-in-law, Rudolf Lenhart; grandson, Douglas; great grandchildren, Aidan and Cassandra and so many loving family and friends. Her music career as a fine soprano embraced many devoted colleagues coast to coast. By request, no service. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Operation Eyesight Universal or Victoria Hospice would be appreciated."

Peacefully, on November 28, 2014 at the Sunnybrook Hospital, Veteran's section L wing. GNR Frank E. Forfar Bowden, served in the Canadian Armed Forces Artillery in England, France, Holland, Germany WWII (1942-1946). Longtime resident of Burlington, Ontario. Loving son of the late Frank Guy and Rubina. Dear brother of John and Jeanne Craig. Predeceased by his siblings: Margaret, Fred and George. Friends may call at Turner & Porter 'Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (east of Erin Mills Pkwy.), from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 until the time of the Service of Remembrance in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. A special thank you to all the nursing and support staff of Sunnybrook Hospital and personally to Cheryl, Maria and Veronica for their outstanding care and compassion."
