"THOMSON -- Suddenly in Victoria on May 5, 1952 Rev. James Currie THOMSON, age 57 years, of Glyn Road, Saanich. He is survived by his wife Margaret, one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Anna Kelly of Vancouver, two sons, Robert Currie and Peter Lee Thomson at home; his mother Mrs. Anna Thomson of Keswick, Ont., also a brother Frank Thomson in Western Ontario. At the time of his passing the Rev. Mr. Thomson was pastor of Wilkinson Road and Garden City United Churches. Funeral services from McCall Bros. Floral Funeral Chapel on Wednesday afternoon, May 7, at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. Wm. Allen and Rev. M. Moore officiating. Cremation."

"Peter M. Laing
Active in engineering circles, Peter M Laing died suddenly Tuesday at his home, 6 Howard St. He was born in Fenelon Falls and came to Toronto as a child with his parents. During the Second Great War he was engaged in the manufacture of heavy-duty cranes and derricks. Mr Laing was prominent as a yachtsman. For the last 20 years he had sailed the yacht Sunbeam, which he built himself. He was a member of the Queen City and National Yacht Clubs, St Andrew's Society and the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers. Surviving are his widow, Jean Brown Laing, and two sons, W. Stuart Laing, Toronto, and Gordon M. Laing, Hamilton."2Gravestone.
