"Sympathy is extended to the relatives and friends of the late Arthur Forster. Arthur Forster, the eldest son of Tom and Millicent Forster, lived in Beulah during his early years. He graduated from civil engineering at the University of Manitoba and then joined the RCAF. In 1942 he married Marjorie James. After the war he relocated in Vancouver where he ran his own construction business.
After he retired, he devoted his life to his dream of building and flying his own aircraft, a single engin Seahawk which was constructed mainly of fibreglass. he took off on his inaugural flight on Sunday. However shortly after takeoff, the plane's engine was laboring, sputtered and nose-dived into an empty field and was wrecked, killing Arthur."
