GLENDINNING— CHILD.

A wedding of some considerable interest to Otautau and surrounding district took place at the home of the bride's parents on May 1st, when Mr Andrew Glendinning, of Mangapiri, and Miss Kathleen Alice Child, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Oliver Child, of "Staplehurst," Otautau, were joined in the bonds of holy matrimony. The bride, who entered on the arm of her father; wore a beautiful bridal robe of crepe-de-chine, with sleeves and side draperies of georgette, caught ou the right side with a white silk rose and silver leaves. She wore her mother's veil and orange blossom and carried a beautiful white shower bouquet. She was attended by her sister, who wore a charming frock cf dark saxe jersey silk, with veil of georgette to match, and she carried a bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums and autumn leaves. Mr Hugh McLees, nephew of the bridegroom, acted as best man. Rev. D. L. Freer officiated, and was assisted by Rev. G. A. Dawson. After the wedding breakfast had been partaken of, the happy couple left for a honeymoon in Central Otago amidst the enthusiastic wishes, of their many friends. The bride's travelling costume was of navy faced velour, with toque and wrap of kingfisher blue. The bridegroom's presents to the bride were a gold wristlet watch and a piano, and to the bridesmaid a sapphire pendant."
